Think the New York Yankees are good? When it comes to dominating, they have nothing on CBRE Columbus.
Consider this statistic: The Columbus, Ohio, office of CBRE was involved in 15 of the largest office lease transactions in Central Ohio from January through September of this year.
CBRE Columbus released this information on Oct. 25, after first analyzing the research conducted by the Central Ohio Commercial Information Exchange, CoStar and CBRE Columbus’ research division.
Of the 25 largest office lease transactions in the central portion of the state, CBRE Columbus represented tenants in seven transactions, landlords in 11 and both tenants and landlords in three.
When it comes to market share, CBRE Columbus was involved in 60 percent of the largest transactions, more than all other Columbus brokerages combined for the third consecutive year. These transactions represented about 772,629 square feet of leased office space.
Maybe comparing the office to the Yankees isn’t fair. After all, the Midwest’s own Detroit Tigers swept the Yankees in four games straight in this year’s American League Championship Series.
From what I can tell, no one would sweep CBRE Columbus in anything.
